We are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing site in the Bishops Stortford area
.

This is a great opportunity for an engineer looking to join a stable site with a strong engineering team
, working a days-only shift pattern while supporting production through proactive maintenance and fast response to breakdowns.

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for keeping production running efficiently through planned preventive maintenance and reactive fault-finding across a range of manufacturing machinery.

You will work closely with production teams to minimise downtime, improve equipment reliability and support continuous improvement across the site.

• Respond to electrical and mechanical breakdowns
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Diagnose faults and repair production machinery and plant equipment
• Support continuous improvement and engineering projects
• Maintain engineering records and maintenance logs
• Work closely with production teams to ensure minimal downtime
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety standards

• Multi-skilled engineer (electrical or mechanical bias considered)
• NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or equivalent
• Experience working in manufacturing / FMCG environments
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Experience with PPM systems and reactive maintenance
• Able to work independently and within a team

• Food or FMCG manufacturing experience
• Electrical qualifications (18th Edition beneficial)
• Experience working in fast-paced production environments
