Quality Inspector - Fabrication; Sheet Metal & Welding

Quality Inspector - Fabrication (Sheet Metal & Welding) - This is a hands-on, shop floor mechanical inspection, quality role inspecting fabricated sheet metal, welded and assembled parts (first-off through to final inspection). The role offers variety and responsibility: and involves stage inspections, non-conformance control, and producing clear inspection reports. You will get the chance to build exposure to First Article Inspection (FAI) to AS9102 standards and use quality systems such as Q-Pulse.

You will be working in a team at this established aerospace company with 5S standards and with close collaboration with Production teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete first-off, stage and final inspections of fabricated sheet metal, welded and assembled components.

• Ensure all work complies with customer requirements and industry specifications.

• Produce inspection reports and First Article Inspection documentation to AS9102 requirements.

• Identify and report non-conforming product and support MRB (Material Review Board) and RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action) activity.

• Maintain inspection and quality records in the quality management system and keep documentation up to date.

• Measure components using hand tools (vernier calipers, micrometers, etc.) and verify against engineering drawings.
