A typical day as a Tax Senior Associate in Bismarck, ND might include the following:

• Prepares individual, business and other types of tax returns for clients in various types of entities and industries.
• Works with the tax team to ensure the various components of the tax process are performed, including tax planning, client interaction and performing special tax projects.
• Gathers relevant tax-related information from the client so an accurate tax return can be prepared.
• Looks at tax situations from various angles to ensure the maximum tax benefit is applied.
• Develops solutions and communicates those solutions to the engagement team and client.
• Prepares accounting-related reports through a paperless office environment.
• Trains and mentors lower-level employees in the tax department.
• Attends training seminars, professional development and networking events.

Location: Bismarck, ND

Work Arrangement: In-office, or Hybrid

• Prepares individual, business and other types of tax returns for clients in various types of entities and industries.
• Collaborates with the tax team to perform tax planning, client interaction and special tax projects.
• Gathers relevant tax information from clients to prepare accurate tax returns.
• Evaluates tax positions to maximize tax benefits.
• Develops and communicates solutions to the engagement team and client.
• Generates accounting-related reports in a paperless environment.
• Trains and mentors lower-level staff in the tax department.
• Participates in training seminars, professional development and networking events.

• You have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Active CPA license or working toward CPA;
  Enrolled Agent (EA) certification also accepted.
• 2-4 years of tax experience within public accounting.
• Well-rounded knowledge of tax accounting principles and IRS regulations.
• Ability to stay up-to-date on regulatory changes in the tax industry.
• Self-starter who works well independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to focus on complex tasks and understand the firm’s compliance processes.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship.
