DescriptionResponsible for placing safety as #1 priority in day-to-day work routine for self and others. Reviews growth projects and associated customer agreements to ensure adherence to line extension tariff(s) and adequate Return on Investment for the company. Provides energy consulting to small commercial and residential customers. Assist field operations in establishing and maintaining strong relationships with developers and homebuilders by providing guidance to field employees, responsible for residential and commercial customer acquisitions, on matters related to energy use and line extension policy.
Works with Regulatory Affairs and Business Development to develop and establish main extension policy. Responsible for developing and maintaining policies and procedures related to line extensions to serve residential and small commercial customers.
Alternate work locations within the Montana-Dakota Utilities and Great Plain Natural Gas Service Territory
Minimum Qualifications- Must possess a working knowledge of energy and engineering concepts and principles and construction practices at a level normally acquired through the completion of a four-year degree in engineering or business administration; and
- Five years’ experience working in pipeline operations, construction management, and/or utility service marketing or regulatory affairs.
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM or BEP) Certification.
- Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States - no sponsor ships considered.
- Required to maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Requires travel:
Moderate (10%-25%)
- Provides support and guidance to the Energy Services Representatives and Utility Project Planners on main extension tariffs to ensure consistent implementation of main extension tariffs as required assists field operations with development and communication of energy information for customers. within their service territory.
- Provides cost comparison tools, customer analytics and studies, feasibility and maximum allowable investment tools, growth project contract templates, rate comparisons and load estimating support for the Business Development and Field Operations departments.
- Reviews growth line extension projects and related documentation for consistency and compliance with company extension tariffs, procedures, practices, guidelines and directives and related governmental requirements and ensures feasibility tools and contract templates are properly utilized.
- Updates feasibility tools and contract templates with improvements and edits needed due to changing tariff, policies, procedures, and practices.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
