Job Description:

Our client is looking for an experienced structural engineer to contribute to the expansion of their structural team in North Dakota. This role will be based in either our Bismarck or Fargo, ND, or Minneapolis, MN office. The primary focus will be on transportation projects within the state, with opportunities to collaborate on various projects across the Midwest.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Supporting project pursuits and proposals, and participating in interviews as necessary.
  • Conducting preliminary design and structure type studies.
  • Final design efforts and preparing Contract Documents.
  • Overseeing construction administration and conducting periodic field inspections.
  • Bridge inspections and load ratings.
  • Monitoring and managing project budgets and schedules.
  • Upholding quality control and quality assurance procedures
  • Providing supervision and mentorship to staff members.

Qualifications:

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in structural or civil engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in North Dakota.
  • Possess certification as a Bridge Safety Inspection Team Leader, or demonstrate the ability to obtain it within six months.
  • Have 6+ of experience in bridge design.
  • Experience working on a diverse range of local and state engineering projects.
