Job Summary
Sanford Health is seeking a compassionate, patient, and problem-solving Neurodiagnostic Technologist to join our talent team. The Neurodiagnostic Technologist will perform intraoperative monitoring, evoked potentials, nerve conduction, and/or electroencephalography (EEG) testing for all patient populations.
The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of neuroanatomy, physiology, basic electronics and electrical safety, and general knowledge of electroencephalography (EEG) and evoked potentials (EP) instrumentation.
Responsibilities- May perform intraoperative monitoring, evoked potentials, nerve conduction, and/or electroencephalography (EEG) testing for all patient populations.
- Understanding the testing equipment, including its structure, indications for use, physiological effect upon the patient, and basic maintenance procedures.
- Possess working knowledge of the disease and pathological conditions encountered.
- High school diploma or its equivalent is required.
- Graduated from an approved program of Electroneuro diagnostic Technology (ENDT) or similar education is preferred.
- Experience in area of specialty or applicable health care experience is preferred.
- Required credentials of one or more of the followings:
Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (REEGT), Registered Evoked Potentials Technologist (REPT), Certified Nerve Conduction Technologist (CNCT), or Registered Nerve Conduction Study Technologists (R.NCS.T). - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six weeks of employment and re-certification as necessary is required.
