Travel Polysomnographer​/Sleep Technologist - Polysomnography

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist for a Level II trauma acute care sleep center requiring RPSGT certification and pediatric sleep study experience.

• Minimum of 2 years of related experience in the sleep disorders field preferred
• BLS certification required
• RPSGT certification via BRPT required
• ND Respiratory Care License and Registered Sleep Technologist license required
• Pediatric sleep study experience required
• License required if applicable
• EPIC EMR experience

• Acute care setting within a Level II trauma facility's Sleep Tech unit
• 4-bed sleep lab with a 1:2 technologist-to-patient ratio
• Performs sleep studies and administers treatments including CPAP, O2, and Bilevel therapy
• Utilizes Natus Xltek sleep testing equipment, Res Med PAP machines, and EPIC One Chart EMR
• 3 night shifts per week, 12-hour shifts, guaranteed 36 hours per week
• No weekends or holidays required
• Orientation includes one week working with day sleep technologists to learn EPIC One Chart, sleep and EEG software, workflows, hospital layout, and policies and procedures
• Followed by one week of night shift orientation with another sleep technologist managing 2 patients before working independently
• Gray scrubs required
• All staff must badge in and out at the facility
• Does not accept local candidates with permanent addresses within 80 miles of the facility
