Job Description Data Center Manager — ACTIVE SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED (Ft. Worth, TX)

Are you interested in supporting large-scale distributed infrastructure for the cloud? Oracle is aggressively investing in the Oracle Cloud to provide the broadest, most comprehensive service offerings in the industry and transforming how Enterprises view the cloud. Only Oracle offers a complete suite of integrated services that include applications as a service, platform as a service and infrastructure as a service — eliminating the data and business process fragmentation that come with cloud silos.

If this is the challenge you are looking for and you meet the following requirements, we want to talk to you!

Department Description

Oracle’s Cloud Data Center Operations team is building and supporting new Infrastructure-as-a-Service technologies that operate at high scale in a broadly distributed multi‑tenant cloud environment. Our customers run their businesses on our cloud, and our mission is to provide them with best‑in‑class compute, storage, networking, database, security, and an ever‑expanding set of foundational cloud‑based services.

Position Overview

As an Oracle Manager, you will have an opportunity to develop skills related to DC Operations and develop strategic initiatives to guide program growth and continuous improvement. You will oversee teams that will troubleshoot and solve complex infrastructure issues at a broad scope to include hardware, software, and overarching data‑center deployments and solutions. You will create, maintain, and improve processes and documentation on technologies you support, understand all aspects of the equipment you support, know how to innovate, and make decisions on your own.

You will take direction and feedback when it is given, pay attention to all details involved, and contribute to establishing annual KPIs and goals for the staff and managing the employee lifecycle against those.

Responsibilities

Act tactically and think strategically to build a program. Embrace the ability to craft initiatives in your own image, questioning current processes to bring a better product to end users. Develop standardization, innovate to simplify, increase efficiency while driving down cost. Ensure contractors and vendors are delivering quality services and that all SLAs are met. Execute large‑scale projects and embrace change.
