PositionManager of Agency Operations
LocationBismarck, North Dakota
Key Responsibilities- Team leadership and service management – Lead, mentor, and motivate employees; establish and monitor key performance indicators; oversee hiring, training, and professional development; serve as a point of escalation.
- Operation excellence and process improvement – Develop, document, and administer agency policies and procedures; continuously refine service and administrative workflows; design and administer performance-based incentive and commission-based compensation plans; oversee the agency management system; drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Compliance & Licensing – Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and company regulations; conduct regular internal audits; administer all insurance agency and producer licensing and registration; stay current on regulatory changes.
- Carrier & Sales Support – Manage and cultivate relationships with key carriers and brokerages; serve as a liaison between the service team and sales producers; ensure service capacity is aligned with sales growth; collaborate with sales leadership.
- Minimum of five years of progressive operations or service leadership experience in an independent or bank‑owned insurance agency, including familiarity with agency management systems.
- Active Property & Casualty and Life & Health licenses, or ability to become licensed within 90‑180 days.
- In‑depth knowledge of commercial and personal lines, health insurance, and crop insurance products and processes.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage and motivate team members while driving a culture of operational excellence.
