Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse (RN) provides individualized nursing care to orthopedics clinic patients. The RN coordinates care, performs assessments, triage, patient education, assists with cast/splint application and removal, dressing changes, staple/suture removal, and collaborates with providers and interprofessional colleagues.
Responsibilities- Utilize the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, evaluation) to provide individualized care.
- Coordinate patient care, assessments, triage and education.
- Assist with cast/splint, brace application/remove, dressing changes and staple/suture removal.
- Collaborate with physicians and interprofessional team to plan, implement, evaluate care.
- Document and maintain accurate nursing documentation within state standards.
- Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred; graduate from an accredited nursing program preferred.
- Unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing; multistate licensure if applicable.
- Maintain required department specific licensure, competencies and certifications.
- Experience in orthopedics or ambulatory clinic setting preferred.
