Department Overview – LDRP RN
This is a Labor, Delivery, Recovery & Postpartum (LDRP) unit that cares for patients from admission through delivery and postpartum recovery , including C-sections and select surgical GYN cases.
The unit handles ~643 births per year and supports both routine and moderate-risk OB patients .
? Required Experience & CertificationsCandidates must have :
- 3+ years of LDRP or L&D experience
- EPIC charting experience
- Ability to titrate IV drips
- Willingness to scrub in the OR
Required certifications:
- BLS
- NRP
- AWHONN Intermediate (Advanced preferred)
- STABLE
Profile review + Manager interview required.
? Unit Size- 7 Labor & Delivery beds
- 12 Postpartum beds
- 8 Surgical beds
- 3 Triage bays
- 1 dedicated C-section OR
- 2 GYN surgical ORs
This unit cares for:
- Labor & delivery
- Antepartum & postpartum
- Magnesium sulfate patients
- Pre-eclampsia, gestational HTN & diabetes
- 23+ week pregnancies
- Vaginal & C-section deliveries
- GYN surgeries (hysterectomy, bladder repairs, mastectomy)
- Occasional higher-risk OB (no cardiac intervention)
