- Provide Comprehensive Obstetric Care:
Expertly assess, plan, implement, and evaluate personalized, evidence-based care for women throughout the labor, delivery, recovery, and immediate postpartum phases, as well as for their newborns. - Perinatal Assessment & Monitoring:
Utilize advanced skills in fetal monitoring, labor progression assessment, and identifying potential complications to ensure the safety of both mother and baby. - Support & Educate:
Be a compassionate guide for expectant parents, providing emotional support, coaching through labor, and educating on newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery. - Collaborate for Optimal Outcomes:
Work closely with OB/GYNs, anesthesiologists, and the entire L&D team to coordinate care plans, perform interventions, and respond effectively to emergent situations while maintaining a calm and reassuring presence. - High-Acuity Care & Response:
Demonstrate proficiency in managing complex labor and delivery situations, including vaginal births, C-sections, and immediate neonatal resuscitation. - Adhere to Best Practices:
Champion patient safety and adhere to AWHONN standards and hospital protocols, ensuring the highest quality of maternity and newborn care. - Documentation & Communication:
Maintain precise and timely documentation of patient care, assessments, and interventions, facilitating clear communication across the care team.

- Education:
