Route Sales Specialist

The Route Sales Specialist is responsible for following procedures and good business practices to enable routes to grow to potential. Responsibilities include delivering fresh product to existing customers, setting up new accounts, merchandising, and supporting all sales initiatives to achieve expectations. The RSS works closely with customers and sales professionals to drive customer development in ordering, merchandising, and display opportunities.

• $452.80 weekly pay plus commission ($75,000–$85,000 annual average)
• Shift start time: 3 am – Wednesdays and Sundays off

• Provide vacation relief for Route Sales Professionals and Loaders
• Assist the Sales Leadership Team with day‑to‑day operations and issues as needed
• Support training of new Route Sales Professionals
• Deliver fresh product to existing customers on open routes until new RSPs are trained
• Assist with rack resets
• Partner with Route Sales Professionals to align account chains
• Manage route operations, including ordering, distribution, merchandising, promotional activity, holiday planning, and meeting customer expectations
• Communicate with customers about promotional activities and delivery expectations
• Ensure product distribution meets contract terms and requirements
• Assist customer relations with selling new products and space/position gains
• Provide high-level customer service and resolve issues as they arise
• Work location varies depending on staffing needs

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to obtain and retain a DOT medical card
• Physical ability to climb, push/pull, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and use fingers for extended periods
• 1–3 years of related experience in DSD (Direct Sales Distribution) is preferred
