Mission Statement:
Install, repair and maintain pipes, fixtures and other plumbing used for water distribution and waste water disposal in commercial and industrial settings while meeting all building codes and safety regulations.
Essential Functions
Report to main shop area each day no later than the start time specified by the Service ManagerReview specifications to determine the layout for plumbing and related materialsIdentify required tools and special equipmentLocate and mark positions for connections and fixturesInstall supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures and equipmentAssemble and install valves and fittingsInstall, repair and maintain water treatment equipment, piping and controlsInstall, repair and maintain sinks, tubs, toilets and plumbing fixturesInstall, repair and maintain water heaters, conditioners, appliances and trimTest pipe systems and fixtures for leaksPerform scheduled maintenance service on plumbing systems and fixturesDocument all installed equipment: make, model, serial number, type of fuel, necessary test measurementsTravel to job sites in service area, and work with dispatch to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to customerAvailability to work nights or weekends, on a rotating basis, to service emergency needs of customersMaintain good working order and cleanliness of company vehicle, including refueling as necessary and reporting any mechanical issuesMaintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicleEnsure all requirements as specified by the manufacturer of systems and fixtures are metEnsure all installations, repairs and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported and gradedEnsure all installations, repairs and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate code requirementsEnsure all installations, repairs and maintenance meet environmental protection requirementsThe work is primarily commercial service plumbing for a few local customersIdentify and report to owner potential opportunities for additional businessComplete all required paperwork and return to Dispatch office in timely mannerRequest equipment and supplies in order to maintain inventory and ensure availability of items required to complete the necessary installation and/or repairRequirements
Journeyman licensure and have proficient knowledge of the plumbing tradeMust possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable under company insurance policyMust work cooperatively with other tradesAbility to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and/or other job specificationsMust pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screenAbility to lift 25lbs – 50lbs, climb ladders, work at heights and in confined spacesExceptional time-management, planning, analytical and problem solving skillsEffective communications skills when dealing with customers and co-workers#J-18808-Ljbffr
