Wage:

Starting $25/hour + Commission!

Job Summary
As a Diesel Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring our customers receive fast, reliable, and professional service. Technicians will assist with repairs and preventative maintenance under supervision, while others independently troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform advanced mechanical repairs on heavy-duty trucks and trailers. Both roles contribute to the cleanliness and safety of our Truck Shop and Travel Plaza facilities.

What You’ll Do

All Technicians:

• Deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced, professional environment
• Perform preventative maintenance, tire services, oil changes, and general repairs
• Assist with shop cleanliness, including sweeping floors, emptying trash, and maintaining restrooms and common areas
• Monitor outdoor areas such as parking lots, fuel islands, and truck parking for hazards and debris, resolving safety concerns quickly
• Follow company safety standards and report any potentially unsafe conditions

Lube & Tire Technician – Entry-Level:

• Work under supervision to learn diagnostic and repair procedures
• Support experienced technicians with parts handling, inspections, and routine services
• Continue developing mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills through on-the-job training

Diesel Technician – Advanced:

• Independently diagnose and repair mechanical issues with diesel engines, brakes, suspensions, and other systems
• Communicate repair recommendations clearly and professionally to customers
• Apply advanced mechanical expertise and use diagnostic tools and systems proficiently
• Uphold Truck Service Standard Services and specialized customer programs with minimal oversight

What We’re Looking For

Lube & Tire:

• Some mechanical aptitude or previous experience in a shop environment is preferred
• Willingness to learn and grow in a hands-on setting
• Ability to follow directions, prioritize tasks, and work safely in a team
• Strong work ethic and commitment to customer service

Diesel Technician:

• 5+ years of experience in diesel repair or a related field
• Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Proficiency with basic computer systems and diagnostic tools
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Physical Requirements

• Regular standing, walking, kneeling, stooping, and crouching
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable working in various weather conditions and flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
