Puro Associates are currently seeking a highly motivated Bookkeeper to join an established firm in their Preston office. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic and growing company, with the chance to take on new challenges and progress your career.
Responsibilities of the Bookkeeper Job- Maintain and update financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies as they arise
- Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Preparation of Quarterly VAT Returns
- Communication with clients, to request documents and statements
- Performing day-to-day bank and ledger reconciliations
- Previous experience within a UK accountancy firm.
- Knowledge of various software including Xero, Quick Books, Sage, is an advantage
