Accounts Assistant

We are currently recruiting for the position of Accounts Assistant – Part Time on behalf of a reputable used car dealership located in Preston, Lancashire. Duties:

• Handling bookkeeping tasks including VAT and bank reconciliations
• Utilising Word and Excel for record keeping and reporting
• Managing payroll processes, including monthly payroll, pension administration, and PAYE filing if required
• Assisting in financial admin tasks to ensure accurate record maintenance
• Supporting the small accounts team with daily financial operations

Requirements:

• Previous experience in an accounts or finance role, ideally within the motor trade sector
• Knowledge of Sage 50 accounts system is advantageous
• Familiarity with VAT schemes and payroll processes
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Good communication and teamwork with a proactive attitude
