BIM Coordinator
Location: Blackburn
Job Type: Full Time
The Role
We are currently seeking a BIM Coordinator to support the successful delivery of BIM projects across large-scale construction and infrastructure developments. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with BIM, Revit and MEP experience who is looking to play a key role in digital project delivery and the continued adoption of BIM technologies within the built environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the digital delivery of MEP models and information from tender stage through to project completion.
- Create and maintain BIM/Revit families in line with project BIM requirements and specifications up to LOD
500. - Develop engineered design solutions to meet client requirements, including routing and coordination of building services systems.
- Work closely with trade contractors and project stakeholders to ensure equipment coordination and clash-free models.
- Support project teams in delivering high-quality digital outputs and maintaining effective information sharing across disciplines.
- Attend regular coordination meetings with clients, engineers and design teams.
- Manage and develop Revit content libraries and BIM standards.
- Produce and maintain technical drawings and models using Autodesk software, including Revit, AutoCAD and Navisworks.
- Assist in the implementation and delivery of BIM Execution Plans.
- Ensure compliance with BIM standards, processes and project requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum 1-2 years' experience within BIM, Revit, CAD or MEP environments.
- Strong understanding of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering within the construction sector.
- Experience working on large-scale projects such as data centres, high-rise developments or major infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of BIM standards and information management processes, including ISO 19650.
- Proficient in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD and Navisworks.
- Experience using Autodesk Docs and BIM 360.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary design teams.
- Previous exposure to electrical equipment design would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of Dynamo for Autodesk Revit would be beneficial.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites when required.
