Summary

A substantive, full-time Consultant Psychiatrist role in General Adult Inpatient Psychiatry (10 Programmed Activities) based at Royal Blackburn Hospital, part of the inpatient, multidisciplinary team on Ribble Ward.

Responsibilities
  • Provide consultant-level assessment and treatment planning for new and existing ward patients within a multidisciplinary team framework.
  • Participate in the Consultant On Call rota (additional remuneration).
  • Lead and contribute to care planning and clinical decision-making for in-patient psychiatric care.
Requirements
  • Full GMC registration and inclusion on the Specialist Register of the GMC, or eligible for entry within 6 months of interview.
  • Section 12 approval at the start of employment and eligibility for Approved Clinician Status.
