Children’s Support Worker – 1:1 Classroom Support (Full Time)

Are you passionate about helping children reach their full potential? Do you want to make a real difference in a young person’s life every day? We are looking for a dedicated Children’s Support Worker to join our welcoming school community in Blackburn
.

We are seeking a caring, proactive and patient individual to provide 1:1 support for a pupil within a classroom setting. You will work closely with teaching staff to help the child engage in learning, develop confidence and achieve positive outcomes.

• Provide tailored 1:1 support to a pupil during lessons and activities

• Assist with learning tasks, communication and emotional regulation

• Work collaboratively with teachers and SEN staff to implement support plans

• Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour

• Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff

• Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a school or care setting

• A compassionate, patient and enthusiastic approach

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Reliability and a genuine passion for supporting children’s development

• (Desirable) Experience supporting children with SEND

• A friendly, supportive school environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
