Salary: £12.21 per hour + 1.84 holiday pay (pro rata 23,557 – 24,307 per annum)

Working within Blackburn College on all sites, including Future Focus provision at the Launch Pad Centre. Support learners studying on courses from entry provision up to Level 3, including A-level and T-levels.

As a key member of the Student Support and Engagement Team you will provide high‑quality, proactive learning support for students with special educational needs and disabilities. You will help them achieve their programme of study and long‑term employment aspirations, prioritising positive behaviours, good attendance and strong attitudes to learning.

• Provide support to learners with special educational needs and disabilities.
• Work with the curriculum team to ensure learners can achieve and exceed their potential.
• Develop independence skills and promote equal opportunities for further study, employment and community engagement.

• Experience working in an education or care setting with young people with learning difficulties, disabilities and complex physical needs.
• Level 2 Maths and English qualification or equivalent, or willingness to achieve within 1 year.
• Qualifications in learning support, care or education, or willingness to work towards them.
• Knowledge of barriers faced by students with special educational needs and disabilities and strategies to overcome them.
