Starting in the January 2026 term, we are looking for proactive teachers to support respected primary schools across Blackburn

You will be responsible for delivering the KS1 curriculum with energy and creativity, ensuring that every child—from those developing their early phonics skills to those preparing for the transition to Key Stage 2—feels supported and challenged.

Responsibilities as a KS1 Teacher

Requirements

Essential:

  • Relevant qualifications (PGCE, QTS, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of the KS1 National Curriculum.
  • Recent classroom experience.
  • Two references from the last 5 years (one must be a full child-based safeguarding reference).

Desired:

  • DBS on the update service. (If yours is not, we can assist you with a new application).
