Inspire Global Thinkers in an Outstanding Setting. We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated Geography Specialist to step into a 1‑year maternity cover position at a highly prestigious independent school in the Blackburn area.

• Plan and deliver high‑quality Geography lessons that bring physical and human geography to life for KS3 and KS4 pupils.
• Foster a love for geographical inquiry, utilising the school’s excellent resources and the beautiful local Lancashire landscape for practical learning.
• Maximise the benefits of smaller class sizes to provide meaningful feedback, close learning gaps, and stretch high‑achieving students.
• Collaborate with the Humanities faculty to maintain excellent academic standards.

• Degree in Geography (or a relevant discipline) with QTS/QTLS preferred (experienced independent sector or unqualified specialists encouraged).
• Strong curriculum knowledge with the ability to prepare students for GCSE examinations.
• Adaptability – able to hit the ground running in September, quickly building rapport with students and staff.
