The supportive specialist SEN school in Blackburn is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced support staff, as well as candidates looking to develop careers in SEN Education, Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Speech & Language Therapy, Social Work, or related fields.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant
, you will support pupils with a broad range of additional needs, potentially including Autism, ADHD, MLD, SLD, speech and communication difficulties, and SEMH needs
.

You will work closely with teachers and specialist staff, using pupils'
EHCPs to understand individual needs, identify barriers to learning, and implement appropriate support strategies. Building strong relationships will be fundamental, providing pupils with the consistency and encouragement they need to develop confidence, communication, independence, and engagement with learning
.

• Up to £600 per week
• Full-time, long-term SEN Teaching Assistant role

• Specialist SEN training and ongoing CPD
• Supportive and experienced staff team
• Excellent experience for careers in psychology, therapy, education, healthcare, or social care

• Previous SEN or school-based experience highly advantageous
• Experience in care, support work, youth work, sports coaching, or mentoring welcomed
• Psychology graduates and related degree holders encouraged to apply

• Genuine commitment to improving outcomes for children with additional needs
