Agriculture, Land & Wildlife Lecturer

Location: Preston
Salary: £26,486 - £35,820 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full-Time

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Agriculture, Land & Wildlife Lecturer to join a well-established FE College in Preston. This permanent position offers the chance to inspire the next generation of learners pursuing careers within agriculture, countryside management, land-based industries, and wildlife conservation.

The Role

You will deliver engaging and high-quality teaching across a range of land-based subjects, supporting learners to develop the practical skills, knowledge, and industry awareness needed to succeed in the sector. The role will involve planning and delivering lessons, assessing learner progress, and providing pastoral support to help students achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver Agriculture, Land & Wildlife courses across further education programmes.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver innovative and engaging lessons.
  • Assess student work and monitor learner progress.
  • Support students with academic and personal development.
  • Maintain accurate learner records and contribute to quality improvement activities.
  • Develop strong links with employers and industry partners where appropriate.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualification in Agriculture, Land Management, Wildlife Conservation, Countryside Management, or a related subject.
  • Experience working within the agriculture, land-based, or wildlife sector.
  • Previous teaching, training, or assessing experience is desirable but not essential.
  • A recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • A passion for supporting and developing learners.
