Join the Fusion and Modular Nuclear Business Unit! 🚀 Drive the cutting‑edge design and development of Electrical Systems for the revolutionary SMR nuclear power plant. From defining system architecture to selecting and specifying high‑performance equipment, you’ll play a key role in delivering a fully verified, world‑class power station. Collaborate with top engineering teams across the project and apply a structured systems engineering approach to bring innovative electrical solutions to life.
- ⚡ Define & Manage Requirements – Review, refine, and document high‑level electrical requirements, ensuring they are testable and aligned with project needs.
- 🎨 Design, Analyze & Verify – Develop and implement robust electrical system/component designs, conduct functional analysis, modeling, and simulation, and define verification activities.
- ✅ Ensure Compliance & Quality – Conduct technical reviews, provide inputs to project technical review gates, and ensure designs meet regulatory and safety standards.
- 📊 Support Strategy & Risk Management – Participate in capacity planning, identify potential risks, implement mitigation strategies, and support decision‑making.
- 📚 Develop & Share Knowledge – Establish policies, procedures, and best practices; develop training materials and tools to support knowledge sharing.
- 🤝 Collaborate & Represent – Work closely with internal engineering teams, drive standardisation, and represent the electrical engineering function in meetings with regulators, customers, and suppliers.

- ⚡ Proven experience in building electrical services design.
- 🛠️ Expertise in space management, cable routing, and cable management.
- 🤝 Strong team player with the ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
- 🗣️ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- 🎓 Degree in a relevant discipline.
- BPSS and SC required.
- Ability to travel to Assystem offices and customer sites within the UK.
- Experience supporting major UK and international nuclear clients.
- Previous experience in electrical power generation or the nuclear sector is an advantage.
Applicants will be required to meet certain residency criteria to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance if not already cleared to a minimum SC level.
