Project Manager​/Engineer – WEC Group

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven engineering professional to manage complex fabrication and heavy engineering projects from enquiry through to delivery.

You will play a key role in coordinating production, managing customer relationships, ensuring technical compliance, and delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.

• Manage fabrication and heavy engineering projects from start to completion
• Liaise directly with customers, suppliers, and internal departments
• Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Coordinate production schedules and monitor project progress
• Ensure compliance with ASME, BS EN, ISO 9001 and welding standards
• Manage budgets, quotations, variations, and project documentation
• Attend customer meetings and site visits where required
• Ensure high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction

• Previous experience in Project Management or Engineering within:
  • Steel fabrication
  • Heavy engineering
  • Coded welding environments
• Strong technical understanding of fabrication and welding processes
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Commercial awareness and customer-focused approach
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Experience with in Rail, Nuclear, Defence, Marine, Aerospace, or Oil & Gas sectors
• Excellent knowledge of all welding techniques
• CAD qualifications and experience are preferable but not essential for this role, training will be provided where necessary
