Lead Engineer, Maintenance Technician ​/ Mechanic

Lead Engineer | Blackburn | Up to £45,000 | Permanent | 37.5hrs We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Engineer to join a well-established facilities and engineering team based in Blackburn. This is a full-time, permanent role working 37.5 hours per week on a flexible shift pattern.

The Role You'll take the lead on all engineering activity across the site, ensuring planned and reactive maintenance is delivered to the highest standard while supporting and mentoring the wider engineering team.

Key responsibilities include:

Overseeing the prompt completion of all planned, reactive and remedial work orders Providing routine and specialist engineering maintenance and breakdown support on site Offering technical, health, safety and environmental support across the facility Training, mentoring and supporting site-based technicians and engineering assistants Providing engineering advice and support to site management Leading by example and helping build a strong, collaborative team culture What You'll Need City & Guilds Part 3, ONC or NVQ Level 3 (or above) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Time-served apprenticeship in a mechanical or electrical discipline CSCS card (or ECS card if electrically qualified) at the appropriate level Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and ACOPs Knowledge of L8 Legionella guidelines Solid fault finding ability with the ability to read technical drawings Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities What's On Offer Up to £45,000 depending on experience 25 days holiday rising to 30 with service Private healthcare scheme covering pre-existing conditions Private pension scheme Non-contributory life insurance Enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption pay Industry leading training and development Staff discounts and rewards hub
