This is an exciting opportunity to lead the safe, compliant and commercially successful delivery of electrical, instrumentation, control and automation (EICA) works across the United Utilities AMP8 framework. As an Electrical Project Manager, you'll be working within the United Utilities AMP8 Framework team, supporting them in delivering essential water infrastructure projects.

  • Leading electrical and EICA work packages including LV distribution, MCCs, switch gear, transformers, standby generation, UPS systems, drives, cabling, instrumentation, telemetry and PLC/SCADA interfaces
  • Reviewing and accepting electrical design information, specifications, drawings, calculations and technical submissions, ensuring safety, buildability and compliance with United Utilities requirements
  • Managing procurement and subcontract packages, including scope development, tender evaluation, supplier performance and delivery assurance
  • Leading electrical shutdown, isolation, temporary supply, energisation and cut-over planning for live water and wastewater assets, ensuring operational continuity
  • Coordinating with commissioning teams to plan and execute electrical inspection, pre-commissioning, testing, energisation and performance demonstration activities
What are we looking for?

This role of Electrical Project Manager is great for you if:

  • You have experience delivering capital projects in the UK water sector within an AMP framework, regulated utility or similarly controlled operational environment
  • You possess strong technical understanding of electrical and EICA systems, including LV distribution, MCCs, switch gear, transformers, generators, drives, cabling, instrumentation and control-system interfaces
  • You hold an HNC/HND, degree, apprenticeship or equivalent experience in electrical engineering or a related discipline
