Finance Manager

A successful and growing manufacturing business with a turnover of approximately £8.5m is looking to appoint a Finance Manager to take ownership of its finance function. Reporting directly to the owners and board of directors, this is a key position within the business, offering the opportunity to influence decision‑making and contribute to the company's continued growth and profitability. Managing an Accounts Assistant, you'll oversee the day‑to‑day finance operation whilst providing accurate financial reporting, commercial insight and strategic support to senior leadership.

• Full responsibility for the finance function
• Production of monthly management accounts
• Leading month‑end and year‑end processes
• Presenting monthly financial results and profitability analysis to the owners and board
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Cashflow management and reporting
• VAT returns and compliance
• Overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable and credit control
• Managing customer and supplier invoicing through Oracle Net Suite
• Creating and monitoring departmental cost centres
• Driving process improvements and strengthening financial controls
• Managing company insurance policies and renewals
• Supporting daily banking activities and reconciliations
• Managing and developing an Accounts Assistant

• Previous experience in a Finance Manager or Management Accountant role
• Experience producing monthly management accounts
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management skills
• Experience presenting financial information to senior stakeholders
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• A proactive and commercially‑mindful approach
• Experience using Oracle Net Suite would be advantageous
• AAT Qualified, CIMA/ACCA studier or Qualified by Experience (QBE)

• £35,000 - £45,000
