Hand Therapist Band 6 (Physiotherapist / Occupational Therapist)

An exciting opportunity for a Band 6 hand therapist (Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist) to join a forward‑thinking Hand Therapy Team. You will be part of a highly respected department valued regionally, across the Trust and the wider therapies service.

• Undertake assessment of patients referred into the department with a diverse range of hand conditions.
• Deliver and document therapy interventions, prioritise and delegate work effectively.
• Provide high‑quality patient education, and contribute to quality improvement and research initiatives.
• Collaborate with orthopaedic and fracture clinics and multidisciplinary teams to offer bespoke splinting and functional fracture braces.
• Act as an autonomous, independent practitioner, performing biopsychosocial assessment and delivering evidence‑based recommendations to maximise hand function.

• Qualified Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist, Band 5 or Band 6.
• Demonstrated experience in hand therapy or related musculoskeletal services.
• Excellent communication, documentation and delegation skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and forward‑thinking in a team environment.

• Opportunity for a Band 5 to Band 6 development post or reduced hours.
