About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Data Engineer to play a key role in shaping a growing global data function. This position offers a unique blend of hands-on engineering, architectural input, and cross-team collaboration.

As a Senior Data Engineer
, you will act as the critical link between UK and India teams, helping to establish the right governance structures and data architecture to support long-term scalability. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, influencing the direction of the data platform and ensuring best practices are implemented from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the go-to data specialist across UK and offshore teams
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of data architecture and governance frameworks
  • Build and optimise a modern cloud-based data platform
  • Support the adoption of Microsoft Fabric and Azure technologies
  • Ensure high standards in data quality, modelling, and scalability
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into data solutions
  • Provide technical guidance and support to emerging team members
Technology Environment
  • Microsoft Fabric (strategic direction)
  • Exposure to Snowflake or Databricks beneficial
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience as a Senior Data Engineer within a cloud environment
  • Strong understanding of data architecture and governance principles
  • Experience working with distributed or offshore teams
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to combine hands-on development with strategic thinking
  • Salary up to £65,000
  • Hybrid working (3 days onsite, 2 remote)
  • 23 days holiday + option to buy up to 5 additional days
  • Up to 5% pension contribution
