Role: Temporary Caretaker
Contract: Temporary
Location: Blackburn BB1
Working Hours- Monday:
- 6:30am - 10:30am
- 2:30pm - 6:30pm
- (Split shift - flexibility to combine into a full day where required)
- Tuesday to Friday:
- 6:30am - 10:30am
- (4 hours per day)
To support the safe operation, security, and maintenance of the school site during a temporary period of cover.
Key Responsibilities- Opening and securing school buildings
- Carrying out basic maintenance and minor repairs
- Ensuring the site is safe, clean, and well presented
- Setting up rooms and equipment for school activities
- Monitoring site security and reporting any issues
- Supporting staff with site-related requests
- Previous caretaking or site maintenance experience (desirable)
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Physically fit and able to carry out caretaking duties
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible
- Willingness to adapt hours when required
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
- Appointment subject to references and an enhanced DBS check
