• Assist in the delivery of a range of youth activities and programmes.
• Engage with young people in a positive, supportive, and engaging manner.
• Provide guidance, advice, and support to young people.
• Help develop and maintain positive relationships with young people and their families.
• Support the youth team in organising and supervising outings, trips, and events.
• Contribute to the evaluation and monitoring of youth programmes to ensure effectiveness and impact.

• Engaging, approachable, and able to build rapport with young people.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, understanding, and able to provide guidance and support.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and understand issues that impact young people’s lives.

• Hourly Rate: £12.71 per hour from 1 April 2026.
• Annual salary increment increases.
• Coverage of the Shadsworth and Whitbirk area.
• Full‑time equivalent 27 days holiday (rising to 32 over 5 years of service) plus bank holidays, calculated on a pro‑rata basis.
