Head/Lead Dental Nurse-Leadership Role

Location: New Bank, Blackburn (BB2)
Full Time: Up to 40 hours (Monday to Friday),
Salary: £27,000-£30,000+ DOE + Performance Bonus.

Are you an experienced Dental Nurse ready to take the next step in your career?

We’re looking for a confident and motivated Head Dental Nurse to join our team at Newbank Dental Centre on a full-time basis.

This is a genuine leadership opportunity for an experienced Dental Nurse or Senior Dental Nurse who wants to take responsibility for the nursing team, clinical standards and the smooth running of the practice.

Your Role
  • Lead, support and mentor the dental nursing team
  • Act as a positive role model and help develop less experienced nurses
  • Maintain high standards of clinical care, infection prevention and decontamination
  • Support clinical audits, GDC compliance and practice policies
  • Help organise nursing rotas, surgery cover and annual leave
  • Oversee nursing stock, equipment and ordering
  • Work closely with clinicians and the Practice Manager to ensure the practice runs efficiently
  • Identify and help resolve day-to-day issues within the nursing team
  • Support a positive, professional and collaborative team environment
What We’re Looking For
  • GDC-registered Dental Nurse
  • Strong experience working within a dental practice
  • Previous experience supporting or mentoring other Dental Nurses is desirable
  • Excellent understanding of cross-infection control and clinical standards
  • Strong organisation and communication skills
  • Confident, proactive and able to take responsibility
  • A positive team player who leads by example
  • Passionate about patient care and developing others
