Sales Assistant

Position

Sales Assistant (Part‑time, 28 hours per week, 3‑month fixed term) – Blackburn The Mall.

• Engage with customers and provide exceptional service, promoting the charity mission.
• Organise and merchandise donated stock creatively to maximise sales.
• Operate the till and assist with online sales in collaboration with the E‑Commerce team.
• Act as keyholder – manage store operations, supervise volunteers and ensure a great customer experience when the manager is absent.
• Handle physical tasks including moving a high volume of donation bags.

• Previous retail experience not essential; passion, energy and strong customer service skills are required.
• Confident in a team environment, comfortable guiding volunteers.
• Adaptable under pressure, able to work independently in a dynamic setting.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Positive, creative, confident, customer‑focused and passionate about sustainability.
• Technically proficient – able to use a till, PC, smartphone and e‑mail.
• Must be 18+ years old.

Flexible schedule with weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis.
