Contract Type: 42 Hours, 4on4off, Days, Nights & Weekends

Are you a confident leader with a strong security background and exceptional people management skills? We're looking for a Shift Manager to oversee all on‑shift operations, ensuring high standards of service delivery and personnel performance across our security team.

This is a pivotal role responsible for supervising and supporting security personnel, managing operational delivery, and acting as the central point of contact for client and company interactions during your shift.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate security staff during assigned shifts.
  • Ensure all officers are site‑trained and possess valid SIA licences or LDNs.
  • Proactively manage staffing rosters, absences, and holiday cover.
  • Conduct regular performance check‑ins and monthly staff engagement.
  • Lead briefings, debriefings, and uphold SOP standards.
  • Ensure proper incident reporting and investigation compliance.
  • Maintain professional appearance and conduct across the team.
  • Assist in training implementation, emergency procedures and best practices.
  • Monitor and report faults in security equipment and systems.
  • Handle access control, CCTV, detection and alarm systems.
  • Be the first point of contact for security‑related queries on shift.
  • Support the Service Delivery Manager with operational needs and planning.
Skills & Competencies
  • Proven leadership with ability to inspire and manage high‑performing teams.
  • Strong decision‑making, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and handle shift priorities.
  • Excellent customer service and client relationship skills.
  • Technically proficient with security systems and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and confident in high‑pressure environments.
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Management experience.
  • Current SIA licence - Door Supervisor and CCTV.
  • Have a full 5 year checkable work history.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Competent in MS Word, Excel and E‑Mail (Outlook).
  • Well‑developed interpersonal and influencing skills. Able to negotiate and deal with sensitive and confidential matters with tact and discretion.
  • Adaptable and responsive in the face of changes in priorities, plans and schedules.
  • Understanding of the Corporate and Major Events.
