Job SummaryWe are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our team. This position offers a unique opportunity to float between our pediatric and transitional care programs, supporting clients of all ages through their recovery and development journeys. You'll work closely with a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide hands-on care that promotes independence, function, and quality of life.
Responsibilities- Assist Occupational Therapist in evaluating clients’ functional abilities and needs
- Carry out treatment plans to improve fine motor skills, self-care routines, and adaptive behaviors
- Work with children, young adults, and those transitioning from hospital to home settings
- Instruct families and caregivers on home programs and equipment use
- Fabricate or adjust splints and assistive devices as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and interventions
- Prepare therapy spaces and maintain equipment
- Provide engaging, client-centered care in both individual and group settings
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Certified and licensed (or license-eligible) as an OTA in [Insert State]
- Experience in pediatric or transitional care settings is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and meet the physical demands of the role
