Warehouse Forklift Operator – Blackfoot

Job Description

This is a full-time operations position responsible for safely and efficiently loading and unloading trucks, checking in and stocking inventory in the appropriate locations and perform quality control of all orders received and shipped. Employee should be independently motivated with the ability to take on tasks without immediate direction and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. You also may be assigned to work in any area of the plant as needed.

• Load shipping coils onto trucks or unload received coils from trucks.
• Operate forklift as needed
• Wear all proper PPE as required:
  Safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.
• Assist in all areas of the plant as needed
• Maintain a clean work area, including sweeping, emptying trash, etc.

• Good work ethic, team player with a positive attitude
• Previous forklift experience is preferred
• Must be able to work outside normal business hours as needed
• Basic computer skills such as data entry and retrieval
• Work in both hot and cold atmospheres depending on weather conditions
• Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Strong task and time management skills
• Willing to take directions from manager and others
• Follow company rules, procedures, and safety policies
• Operate assigned equipment in a safe, effective, and efficient manner
• Willingness to take on new tasks and learn new skills
• Strong attention to detail
