Position Summary

We are looking for a Dimensional/Quality Control Inspector to join our team. Working collaboratively within the Quality Assurance department following established procedures and project requirements, the Dimensional/Quality Control Inspector plays a key role in upholding product quality and regulatory compliance throughout the manufacturing processes. This position supports project teams and customers to ensure the project meets quality standards, project requirements, and technical specifications.

The position is open to entry level and advanced level candidates who are committed to personal growth in a hands‑on environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T callouts.
  • Utilize standard measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measures, etc.).
  • Operate a portable coordinate measuring system (CMM) and laser measuring devices.
  • Train and assist other inspectors as needed.
  • Prepare inspection reports and logs that show the details of all tests and/or inspections performed.
  • Prepare dimensional reports that show the details of all dimensional measurements performed.
  • Perform visual, mechanical, and dimensional inspections in accordance with approved/controlled documentation.
  • Perform first‑article, in‑process, and final inspections on parts and assemblies.
  • Report nonconformities and support resolution efforts through communication with project managers, quality engineers, and quality control supervisors.
  • Must pass a background check, employment verification, and drug screening.
  • Applicants must be U.S. citizens due to government contract requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working under NQA‑1, ISO, and/or DOE Order 414.1D quality programs.
  • Experience with B31.1 and B31.3 work.
  • Experience with ASME Section III and/or ASME Section VIII quality programs.
  • Experience with AISC quality program.

Regular, predictable, and on‑site attendance is an essential function of this position. Regular standing, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting (up to 50 lbs). Use of hands and arms to operate tools and inspection equipment. Specific vision abilities required include strong visual acuity (with or without correction), color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. PPE required: safety glasses, hearing protection, and work boots.

Working Environment

The dimensional/quality control inspector position is performed in a fabrication shop setting. Employees are regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, loud noises, tripping hazards, sparks, welding arcs, and open flame. They may also be exposed to high or precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, mild industrial chemicals, inclement weather, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. Noise levels are usually loud. Employees must maintain awareness of their surroundings and wear the necessary PPE when required.
