Truck Driver

Plant Manager

Nonexempt Hourly

The position exists to safely operate heavy trucks in the transportation of product from the production facilities to the customer or end user, as well as fulfilling other driving related duties.

• Safely perform assigned work and look out for the safety of others
• Operate any variety of truck-trailer combinations to transport finished goods and raw materials to and from manufacturing plants and to local farmers
• Comply with DOT truck driving rules and regulations as well as with company policies and procedures
• Complete pre and post trip inspections of the vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and ensure any deficiencies are corrected
• Verify delivery instructions, and communicate with customer as needed to ensure that delivery has been made
• Operate telehandler, forklifts and other equipment as needed to complete job tasks
• Work overtime as needed, especially during the seasonal busy periods
• Travel out of state and stay overnight occasionally as required
• Assist with loading & unloading of trucks or general labor in the yard when necessary
• Complete other duties as assigned

• 1+ years of verifiable truck driving experience – required (exceptions may be made based on other relevant work experience)
• CDL class A with acceptable driving record – required
• Prior agricultural truck driving experience – preferred
• HAZMAT endorsement - preferred
• Good teamwork and communication skills - preferred

• Sit, stand, lift frequently; occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds
• Bend, twist, climb, reach, kneel, crawl frequently
• Typical visual and auditory abilities required (with or without medically prescribed correction)
