This is a full-time Consultant post in Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia and Intensive Care, created due to expansion of services. The successful candidate will work with the current cohort of Consultant Cardiothoracic Anaesthetists to provide care for patients admitted to the Lancashire Cardiac Centre.
The post holder will be employed by Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and will be professionally accountable to the Clinical Leads for Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia and Cardiothoracic Intensive Care. The post holder will be managerially accountable through the Medical Director to the Chief Executive.
The Cardiothoracic Directorate consists of the Departments of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia and Cardiology, Cardiac Theatres and Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (CITU), and forms part of the Surgery, Women and Children's Division (SWaC).Main duties of the job Please ensure you read the Job description and Person Specification attached to the advert in full before applying.

It is less than an hour's drive to the beautiful Lake District and Beacon Fell national parks, Manchester airport is within an hour's drive with international connections.
