Overview
Year 5 Class Teacher
Humly is recruiting a Year 5 Class Teacher to join a primary school on a long-term basis.
This is a full-time role starting 23 February 2026 and continuing until 17 July 2026, covering the Spring and Summer term. This role would suit an experienced Key Stage 2 teacher who is confident delivering the national curriculum and maintaining high standards of behaviour, learning, and pupil wellbeing.
Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 national curriculum
- Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
- Assess, track, and report on pupil progress to support learning outcomes
- Adapt teaching to meet a range of learning needs and abilities
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support whole-school priorities
- Promote pupil confidence, independence, and wellbeing
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Confidence delivering structured lessons across core subjects
- Ability to support pupils with varying learning needs
- A professional, reliable, and collaborative approach
- Non-AWR: £120+ per day
- AWR (from week 13): £168.80 - £232.57 per day (M1 - M6)

- Enhanced DBS required (If required, Humly can support with an Enhanced DBS at a cost to the educator)
