Secondary Art Teacher

Vida Education is currently recruiting for a passionate and creative Secondary Art Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school from September 2026 until the Christmas break
.

This is a full-time position (5 days per week), teaching Art across Key Stages 3 and 4, with some additional Design & Technology (DT) lessons as required. The school is seeking an enthusiastic teacher who can inspire students, encourage creativity and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons.

This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced teacher or a confident ECT looking to gain valuable classroom experience within a supportive department.

• Full-time, Monday to Friday
• September 2026 start until the Christmas break
• Teaching mainly Art across KS3 and KS4
• Some Design & Technology lessons included within the timetable
• Planning, preparing and delivering engaging lessons
• Assessing, monitoring and reporting on pupil progress
• Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Contributing to the wider life of the department and school where appropriate

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Experience teaching Art in a secondary school setting
• The ability to teach some Design & Technology would be advantageous
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• Strong communication and organisational abilities
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
