German Teacher

We are currently working with a well-established secondary school in the Blackpool & Fylde Coast area who are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed MFL German Teacher to cover a period of maternity leave.

This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher looking for a long-term position from January 2027, joining a supportive MFL department and making a real impact on students' progress and development.

You will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality German lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop their confidence, knowledge and enthusiasm for languages.

Your responsibilities will include:

Planning and delivering engaging German lessons.
Teaching across KS3 and KS4.
Preparing students for GCSE examinations where required.
Differentiating lessons to meet a range of abilities and learning needs.
Maintaining high standards of behaviour and achievement.
Building positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
Working collaboratively as part of the wider MFL department.
Contributing to the wider life of the school.

The school is looking for a teacher who:

Has QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
Has experience teaching German within a secondary school.
Has strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for languages.
Can deliver engaging and challenging lessons.
Has excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
Is reliable, enthusiastic and committed to supporting students.
