Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Poulton-le-Fylde that is looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant (or higher qualification) to support a Year 1 class on a full-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant seeking a long-term role within a supportive school. The successful candidate will provide general classroom support while also leading small-group phonics sessions and targeted interventions
, helping pupils build confidence and achieve their full potential.

• Providing general classroom support within a Year 1 class
• Delivering phonics sessions and targeted intervention groups
• Supporting children on a one-to-one and small-group basis
• Assisting the class teacher with the delivery of engaging lessons
• Encouraging positive behaviour and participation in learning
• Monitoring pupil progress and feeding back to the class teacher

• Holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher
• Has experience working within a primary school setting
• Confident supporting early reading, phonics and literacy development
• Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Is proactive, engaging and passionate about supporting young learners
• Can commit to the role for the remainder of the academic year

This position is available for an immediate start and is expected to continue until the end of the academic year. It would suit an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for stability and the opportunity to become a valued member of a school's Year 1 team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
