Role Overview & Key Duties

As a Science Teacher, you will plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, contributing to a modern and practical Science curriculum.

Your responsibilities will include:

Planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality Science lessons in line with the national curriculum.

Assessing, recording, and reporting on student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning goals.

Managing classroom behaviour effectively using the school's clear, positive behaviour management framework.

Differentiating teaching materials to challenge higher achievers and support learners with diverse needs.

Participating in departmental meetings and collaborative planning sessions on your designated working days.

Essential

Skills & Qualifications

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) status (Early Career Teachers are welcome to apply).

Demonstrated experience teaching Science up to GCSE level within a UK secondary school setting.

Strong classroom management abilities and the confidence to inspire young minds.

An enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or readiness to process one).
