Salary: HO3 SCP
33-35 £ 44,075 - £46,142 per annum (Market Forces Supplement £5,000 per annum)

Our Building Control team plays a vital role in protecting the public, supporting development, and ensuring compliance with the highest standards of building safety.

Role Overview

As a Principal Building Control Surveyor, you’ll join a team that deals with a variety of work, including high‑rise and public buildings. This is a leadership role where you’ll provide technical expertise, mentor junior staff, and deputise for the Building Control Manager.

You’ll also have the opportunity to influence service delivery and represent the council in enforcement and legal proceedings.

Qualifications

Are you a registered Building Inspector with the Building Safety Regulator? On your Application Form please confirm at what Class and provide the registration number.
