You'll work closely with production leadership teams, engineering colleagues, contractors, and support functions to ensure engineering priorities are aligned to operational demands. Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop a team of multi-skilled engineers within a high-volume manufacturing environment. Support the delivery of engineering excellence through effective planning, prioritisation, and coordination of maintenance activities. Work closely with production and operational teams to support performance, efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Champion high standards of health & safety, food safety, engineering compliance, and operational best practice. Support the development of a proactive engineering culture focused on reliability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Criteria Time-served Mechanical or Electrical Engineer with strong technical knowledge and practical engineering experience. Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience within a manufacturing or production environment. Experience operating within FMCG, food manufacturing, or similarly fast-paced industrial environments would be advantageous.
IOSH qualification and food safety or hygiene qualifications would be beneficial. Strong communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making abilities. A passion for people development, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
