Business Intelligence Analyst

Duties:Bring together technical and business aspects of TORC’s commercialization strategy, ensuring successful market entry and scaling of autonomous trucks into the market. By leveraging strong research, analytical analysis, and strategic skills with a customer-centric approach, collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive impactful initiatives and solve complex challenges. Conduct in-depth market and competitive analysis, including rigorous data analysis to identify key trends, challenges, and opportunities.

Synthesize insights into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations. Using data to inform understanding, develop and verify complex business models to be used to advise strategic business decisions. Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, understanding their needs, challenges, and opportunities. Collaborate with stakeholder to define project goals, scope, and deliverables, and provide strategic recommendations to address key business issues. Lead and manage project work streams, ensuring timely and effective delivery of high-quality work.

Develop and implement strategic frameworks, methodologies, and processes to analyze complex business problems and identify potential solutions. Guide and mentor junior strategists and analysts, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment. Provide feedback and coaching to support their professional development. Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and reports to senior leadership, executives, critical stakeholders, and investors, effectively communicating strategic recommendations and insights.

Contribute to the company’s knowledge base by developing new tools, methodologies, and best practices. Stay current with industry trends and thought leadership to drive continuous improvement and innovation. Develop and implement strategic plans that align with the company’s overall goals. This includes identifying key performance indicators (KPIs), setting targets, and monitoring progress. Define, refine, and disseminate commercial and business-related product requirements to the product teams and other relevant stakeholders.

Support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for technology and operations. Identify, evaluate, and implement strategic commercial, financial, and technology partnerships to enhance customer value and drive business growth. Conduct thorough due diligence, including POCs and ROI analysis, to ensure alignment with business objectives.

Requirements:Master’s degree, or equivalent, in Business with a concentration in Management Science, Information Systems or Business Analytics, or related technical field with 3 years’ experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst, or alternatively Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in Business with a concentration in Management Science, Information Systems or Business Analytics, or related technical field with 5 years’ of experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst.

Experience must include:
Experience in data analysis and visualization using tools like Python, R, Alteryx, SQL, Tableau, Think cell and Power BI;
Expertise in financial modeling and scenario analysis using Excel and VBA;
Proficient in optimization techniques (e.g., linear programming, simulation modeling) and supply chain efficiency improvements;
Experience in financial due diligence, deal execution, capital raising, and/or contract negotiation;
Strong strategic problem-solving skills using MBB frameworks to drive insights and align strategy;
Experience in project management and planning with tools like Primavera P6, MS Project, and Smartsheet.
